Reality TV is all the rage these days, but, don't ever think that the idea of cashing in on filming real life is new. Back in 1957 a Blood'N'Bubble flick starring Roger Bristol and Audrey Totter had a plot line that now sounds eerily contemporary! In the movie Roger Bristol (James Craig) is the star of a popular TV adventure series. In an effort to juice the program's ratings, Bristol promises his viewers that he will locate a South American shipwreck filled with treasure. True to his word, Bristol, his secretary Anne Stevens (Audrey Totter) and his skindiver son Bob (Lowell Brown) embark on this dangerous quest, using the cryptic messages carved on an ancient idol as their map to the treasure. Can you name the movie?

No pressure gauges. No depth gauges. No gloves. No dive suits. In GHOST DIVER the adventurers have little more than tanks, masks, fins and big knives as they look for treasure. The salvage mission is threatened by a greedy local diver (Nico Minardos), who will stop at nothing to get his hands on the treasure. Audrey Trotterwho played the diving love interestwas no stranger to underwater movies, she starred in the Film Noir classic The Lady in Cement with Robert Montgomery 11 years prior to this two bubble classic. Ghost Diver was written, directed and produced by Richard Einfeld. The movie was released by Regal Films (20th Century Fox's bargain bin studio) and runs 1 hour and 16 minutes.Ratings: 2 bubbles
